So my husband has an opportunity to make upwards of 5 grand a month driving for a guy out of Montana and possibly buying the truck. Sure, it could be too good to be true, but sometimes you just gotta say fuck it and go for it.
The crazy bit is that he wants me to drive with him. Oh, I didn’t say? Yes I have a CDL, and I loved driving OTR! But you can’t have a real life doing that. My husband doesn’t have to worry about bills (although he freaking does); he doesn’t have to worry about laundry or a clean house or taking care of the kids (pets)… Doesn’t have to worry about launching a metaphysical shop the likes of which there are millions across the interwebs. Doesn’t have to worry about taking care of family or dishes or cooking or anything but getting and hauling freight.
It would be so much simpler… but what about Zephyr?
I told him to try it as soon as the guy extends an official offer and if he’s still doing well with it by the end of the school year I’ll hang up my school bus certification and kick it across Route 66 with him. I can work on services like Reiki over the road and I’ve got people stationed across the States to help with physical products like the candles and oils.
The really great thing about that, now, is that we can rack up some massive funding at least until I find a job in San Antonio at the end of the summer. Yes — it would only bring my total truck-driving experience up to about nine months, but the great thing about working for that guy is that it can potentially be that casual. That’s awesome. And I’ve already found a job in SA that I reeeeeeeally want:
DISPATCHING.
That’s so amazing to me it gets it’s own blockquote. Granted, we’re still eight dreadful months away from The Move, but I’d like to plan this thing thoroughly before we get there. I’m talking wish lists full of furniture, dishes and clothes by Month Six, and about four strong possible housing options by next July.
Fuckin’ A.
And now, the hard part: We Wait. *ugh*
